Social Worker who works with CPS and goes, with her husband, Diego, and their three kids, to the non-landed club. Her kids are Cheryl, 7, Jacob and her youngest, Lily, is only 1.

Carmen's parents are from Mexico, and she is clearly ethnically Latina. She was raised in the USA and speaks perfect English, but Julie, the narrator, doesn't realize that Carmen is Latina, or that her husband is Latino.

As such, her ethnic origin will not come into play in My Life So Far!

How did they become a naturist or what is their relation to naturism?

When she began her work as a social worker, she was called in to the naturist resort to investigate a family who was reported as possibly causing child abuse. Finally, it was just a misunderstanding caused by a speech defect (of all things) the little boy Kyle had, which caused unjustified concerns with the teacher.

But spending a few days investigating at the resort, she realized how fun naturism was, and in the end, she asked if she could undress too in order to make everyone more at ease. She was then pregnant with Cheryl.

After telling her husband Diego, he was initially angry, but he loves his wife, and ended up converted too!

Now, they mainly go to the non-landed club and bring their kids, as neither of them love being too much in the sun.
